Rapid repair reset — a strategic pivot under pressure
Sutton Housing Partnership manages Sutton Council's housing stock and needed a complete overhaul of their repairs process within a tight 6-week timeframe
The current repair contractor wanted to end their contract, while the board preferred bringing services in-house. However, an in-house solution couldn't be fully developed before the contract ended. We needed to create both an interim solution and plan for the permanent in-house service.
How we tackled it:
We conducted a 6-week intensive discovery phase to understand and define requirements for:
- Governance
- Organisation (assessing capabilities and skills)
- Suppliers
- Processes
- Technology needs
- Data collection and analysis
This work created a foundation for both an interim solution and new service. We then spent 2 weeks evaluating our findings and developed options for the client based on their budget constraints and risk tolerance.
This piece of work was carried out by Cadence Innova before merger. We're honoured to continue this impactful work under the Transform brand going forward.
The results:
- Developed an interim business continuity solution
- Created a detailed plan for both temporary and permanent in-house services
- Produced a three-year financial model for the in-sourced service
These deliverables laid the groundwork for a complete transformation.
