Hello, welcome to Transform Academy: Agile for the Real World
Transform’s Academy programme is a series of workshops delivered every few months, covering a variety of topics around the key areas impacting organisations.
Today’s workplaces are complex and organisations and their people need the right skills and methodologies to navigate them. Knowing how to work in an Agile way is a great place to start.
Agile methods are widely documented with a lively and easily accessible expert community which now includes using Agile outside of its foundations in software development. However, the conditions and drivers of success in Agile can be elusive or even closely guarded. Any change can be hard to start and harder still to accelerate early on. Our aim with this Academy is to lift the lid on Agile, making it accessible to all.
What to expect
In this session:
- We’ll share the expertise we’ve accumulated working with clients, drawing on years of practical Agile experience.
- We'll explore what Agility means and how it works, including the demystification of jargon.
- We'll give participants an introduction to the topic, to help set the direction for successful Agile adoption, while covering a broad range of topics.
- We'll share how Agile applies to a range of project and departmental applications, including but not limited to software engineering.
- We'll cover the theory as well as some interactive exercises, including the use of Lego Serious Play ™.
The half-day covers:
- An introduction to Agile and working environment context.
- A thorough explanation of Agile ways of working.
- An understanding of the behavioural and cultural foundations to making Agile successful using Lego Serious Play ™.
- A presentation of case studies, demonstrating Agile in practice – the good, bad and the ugly.
